Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne or 1100-horsepower electric hypercarMarch 3, 2020
The body of the novelty is made of carbon fiber, which is covered with a glossy transparent layer on top, as well as copper accents. The all-electric power plant of the novelty can develop 1100 hp. power. Acceleration to 100 km / h will take 2.6 seconds.
Hispano introduced Suiza Carmen Boulogne – an even more powerful version of its unusual hypercar, which was created in the style of the 80s of the last century. The novelty can offer 1,100 horsepower (820 kilowatts) and the ability to reach speeds of 100 km / h in just 2.6 seconds. For comparison, the standard version of the Carmen model has “only” 1,006 hp. (750 kW).
In total, there will always be only five copies of the hypercar, each of which will cost 1.65 million euros at the current exchange rate. Deliveries will begin in 2022.
However, Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne is 60 kg lighter than the standard version of the Carmen model. Weight loss comes from changes such as revised suspension components, a new chassis and a carbon roof.
The car received a lithium-ion-polymer battery with a capacity of 80 kilowatt hours, so that the power reserve will be 400 kilometers. Fast charging will also be available.
Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne received a carbon fiber body over which a transparent layer was applied, giving the lightweight material a glossy surface. There are copper accents on the grille and like copper stripes along the “sharp” edges of the body.
Like the standard Carmen, under the body panels is a carbon fiber monocoque that weighs just 195 kg. The company even uses carbon composites for front and rear structures.
The Carmen Boulogne has carbon fiber seats that are trimmed in leather and Alcantara, the color of which you can choose. Instead of the chrome finish, which was the usual version of the model, the novelty will receive anodized metal trim in the shade of Orange Tulipwood.
