High-performance Ram Rebel TRX pickup available in 2020December 6, 2019
According to the assurances of the representatives of the FCA concern, the Jeep 3-row SUV, as well as the high-performance Ram Rebel TRX truck will be presented in 2020. Hybrid versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler SUVs are also expected.
United Auto Workers (US Automobile Workers’ Union) and Italian-American Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have reached a preliminary union agreement, which has now passed to a final vote for approval. Under the contract, FCA will invest $ 9 billion in expansion of its production facilities.
Thanks to this agreement, we can judge what to expect in the coming years.
$ 3 billion will be invested in the concern’s assembly plant in Jefferson, as well as an increase in labor by 1,100 people. A hybrid version of the mid-size Dodge Durango SUV will be assembled at production facilities – the assembly will start in 2020, as well as the next generation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. Well, in 2021, they will also establish the production of a plug-in hybrid model.
A major investment in the Detroit assembly plant has also been reported. In 2020, the assembly of the new, unnamed three-row Jeep SUV starts, which is reported to be located in the current automaker’s model line below the Jeep Wagoneer. For 2020, it is planned the appearance of a full-size Ram 1500 pickup truck in the high-performance version of TRX.
An agreement between United Auto Workers and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles executives still needs final approval before this investment is made.
