High-performance fastback Ford Mondeo Evos showed on the renderJanuary 15, 2021
The popular sedan has been turned into a stylish crossover coupe. Ford Mondeo is still sold in selected regional markets. However, this popular family car has been going through difficult times lately. Ford wants to focus on high-performance station wagons, crossovers and hatchbacks.
The Ford Mondeo Evos featured in Motor.es renders could fit well into this concept. Fans of the American automaker are familiar with the name Evos from the avant-garde show car. This coupe at one time showed how the current Mondeo / Fusion and Mustang will look.
Two years ago, Ford registered the new Mondeo Evos trademark. So what could a Ford Mondeo look like with today’s popular coupe silhouette? Externally, the novelty may overlap with the new generation of Ford Fusion Active, whose design has recently ceased to be a secret.
The new Mondeo Evos will receive a polyhedron grille with a mesh pattern. The head optics will be decorated with chrome decor, and the hood and fenders will be borrowed from the Mustang Mach-E electric cross.
The Ford Mondeo Evos engine range could include a 1.5-liter 180-horsepower turbo engine, combined with an 8-automatic transmission, as well as a two-liter turbo four. Hybrid and all-electric modifications could well complete this list.
In addition to the swift coupe-like Evos, Ford may also have a high-end Mondeo Active station wagon. This model would be a serious contender for the Subaru Outback.
Earlier, a render of the iconic Jeep Wrangler SUV in the back of a minivan was unveiled. The car has become more spacious, but at the same time it has not lost its exceptional off-road qualities.
