Here is a version of MBUX will receive a new generation Mercedes S-classJuly 6, 2020
The press service of the German automaker showed what the MBUX multimedia system will look like in the new generation of the luxury Mercedes S-class sedan. A small presentation of this system will take place on July 8.
Back in February 2019, we first saw a huge touch screen that will dominate the center console of the W223 generation S-class luxury sedan. Now, it became known that the German automaker decided to show the interior of its flagship model this Wednesday – the show will be held online in the Mercedes me application on July 8 at 11:30 CEST / 5:30 AM EDT. Well, the “full” presentation of the new items will be held in September this year.
Currently, all we have is previously published “spy” images showing the front panel of the new S-class, as well as a teaser that shows us the tablet-like MBUX infotainment system.
Not that the current S-Class W222 has many traditional controls, but its receiver will have a minimum of mechanical keys – they will all be “hidden” in the new MBUX multimedia. The size of the display is currently unknown, although it is safe to say that it will be roughly similar to the 17-inch tablets that Tesla has in Model S and X.
We can also see the controls of the climate control unit and the spacious navigation screen at the top of the center console. Needless to say, the instrument cluster will also be fully digital, and these recent incredibly “spy” snapshots revealed that the S-class will have an expanded display. Most likely, the HUD system will be used for the navigation system.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote about an old Mercedes G-Class SUV with huge Vossen wheels. A video appeared on YouTube that shows a three-door “helix” with large Vossen discs. The car drives off-road and the city, and even flew up once on a hill.
