Hennessey’s 1000-horsepower Jeep Gladiator visits dyno standDecember 13, 2019
The American pickup truck showed impressive performance during testing.
The pickup is driven by a 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 modernized supercharged engine. Engine performance is 1000 hp. and 1264 Nm of torque.
Despite the impressive return, 692 hp was recorded on the rear wheels during the test on the dyno-stand. at 6200 rpm and 852 Nm of torque. The cause of these losses is the transmission, increased wheels, and some other other details. Tuners estimate transmission losses by approximately 30%. For this reason, the results on wheels are significantly lower than on the crank.
During testing, you can see how the pickup body bends. This Hennessey Gladiator will clearly be able to compete even with some sports cars, while at the same time it retains the ability to conquer off-road.
It also became known earlier that Jeep is preparing the release of a new subcompact crossover. The car is considered as the main competitor of Suzuki Jimny and should appear by 2022.
