Tuning studio Hennessey will present a 1200-hp sports car by 2020.
It became known that Hennessey specialists are developing a modification for the mid-engined sports car. It is reported that the car is equipped with two turbochargers and some forged parts, which will increase power to an impressive 1200 hp. Tuners will also offer less productive upgrade kits.
Company founder John Hennessy said: “We expect the new C8 Corvette to be an excellent platform with which our customers can further personalize their cars, which obviously includes adding more power and performance.” Hennessy also added: “Over the past few months, we have received hundreds of inquiries from C8 buyers who want to know what we will offer for the new Corvette. Thus, we created an online questionnaire and received more than 250 completed forms and get more every day. Clients tell us what they want and a big surprise – they want more power. ”
Initially, the tuners will offer customers a modernized exhaust system, which, according to experts, will bring a “slight increase in power.” The power plant will be supplemented by two turbochargers, which will allow to increase engine power to 1200 hp The dual-clutch transmission will be improved and power will be transmitted to the rear wheels. The exterior of the sports car will be decorated with a CarbonAero body kit. Brembo upgraded brakes, adjustable suspension, and special wheel and rim sets will also be offered.
