Hennessey unveils 1000 hp version of McLaren 765LTMarch 6, 2021
Renowned tuning studio Hennessey has increased the engine power of the British coupe McLaren 765LT to 1000 horsepower. Also, the car received changes in the exterior and interior.
The standard version of the sports coupe McLaren 765LT boasts 755 horsepower, thanks to which it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and develops a top speed of 330 km / h. The standard drag racing quarter mile or 402 meters, the British car travels in 9.37 seconds. These are pretty fast numbers, however tuning company Hennessey decided to release a tuning kit that increases the power of the 765LT to a whopping 1000 hp.
Yesterday, the Texas tuner officially announced its new, crazier version of the McLaren 765LT, which bumps the engine power up to the aforementioned 1,000 horsepower.
Now this already absurdly fast car accelerates to the first hundred in just 2.1 seconds, and its top speed has been increased to 346 km / h.
“The new 765LT has a lot of potential for tuning,” said head of the tuning studio, John Hennessy. “We tested it on our own dynamometer and it put out about 765 hp. on the rear wheels. Upgrade 765LT to 1000 hp will reduce the acceleration time to 100 km / h to just 2.1 seconds. “
Hennessey installed high flow air filters, stainless steel exhaust pipes for even more noise, new engine ECU firmware and more. On top of that, the 765LT does get some subtle exterior and interior visual enhancements that help differentiate this version of the car from the stock one. Thus, there is a Hennessey emblem on the outside, as well as HPE1000 badges and a dashboard serial number plate in the cabin.
