Hennessey unveils 1000 hp Dodge Durango Hellcat SUVOctober 12, 2020
Renowned tuning studio Hennessey Performance presented its version of the “charged” SUV Dodge Durango Hellcat. The upgraded version of the car boasts over 1000 horsepower.
The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is a true beast even in its standard form. It is called the most powerful production SUV in the world – it boasts a 710-horsepower engine (875 Nm). Its base price is $ 80,995, but we know there are many customers out there who want even more power and are willing to pay a lot for it.
This is where Hennessey Performance comes in.
A tuning company based in Texas, USA, has announced that it will offer an HPE1000 supercharger upgrade kit for the Durango SRT Hellcat – not surprising given that these guys have provided similar power packs for other Dodge models such as the Charger and Challenger. as well as the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
It can be expected that the power of the “charged” SUV will grow to 1012 hp, which will be available at 6500 rpm, and the maximum torque of 1314 Nm can be reached already at 4200 rpm, which means that it will have the same potential as the “charged” Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk SUV. The latter has an incredible claimed acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.6, and it would be interesting to see the dynamic performance for the Durango Hellcat.
In its standard version, the Durango Hellcat accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and easily covers a quarter mile (402 meters) in 11.5 seconds. By comparison, Hennessey’s Grand Cherokee Trackhawk covers a quarter mile in 10.2 seconds.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that there is an increase in sales of the Jeep Patriot crossover, as well as the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart sedans. The Italian concern FCA announced that in the third quarter of this year it managed to sell several copies of the Jeep Patriot crossover, as well as the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart sedans.
