American tuning studio Hennessey plans next year to set a new speed record with Hypercar Venom F5. This in an interview with Automobile magazine was announced by the head of the company John Hennessy. According to him, they will try to accelerate the car to 301 miles per hour (484 km / h).
Venom F5 will be equipped with an 8.5-liter V8 engine. The power of the unit will exceed 1600 hp. At the same time, it was previously reported that the hypercar will be equipped with a 7.4-liter twin-turbo engine. The coefficient of aerodynamic resistance will be 0.33. The car body is made of carbon fiber, reports Motor1.
The name of the hypercar is a reference to the Fujita scale, according to which the tornado’s power is classified. Category F5 refers to the wind of “incredible” force, the speed of which varies from 419 to 512 km per hour.
In the future, the machine will receive a serial version. The novelty will be released in a limited edition of 24 copies. The applications of those wishing to purchase hypercar will be considered by John Hennessey himself. The price for the car will be about 1.6 million dollars. The car will be assembled at the Hennessey’s Sealy plant in Texas.
