Hennessey Goliath 6 × 6 or the craziest Chevrolet Silverado pickup versionJune 15, 2020
Well-known studio Hennessey Performance has introduced a highly modernized version of the full-size Chevrolet Silverado pickup. This video shows the 800-strong performance of this car.
While a well-known Texas tuner was developing its own Venom GT hypercar, which should exceed the coveted speed limit of 483 km / h, Hennessey Performance took the time to present a six-wheeled version of the full-size Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Heavily modernized machine received the designation Goliath 6 × 6.
Shown in the video below, this beast is a type of car that causes a much greater level of surprise for passers-by than shocking hypercars from Swedish Koenigsegg or Italian Pagani. This shows how crazy a pickup can become if its creators think outside the box and are not afraid to create something truly crazy.
The current trend of creating large cars with a 6 × 6 wheel arrangement can be largely attributed to the German SUV Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6 × 6, released a few years ago by a premium automaker.
Hennessey Goliath 6 × 6, which is built on the basis of Silverado, is not only larger than the original car from Mercedes, but is also more powerful.
After “stretching” the loading platform of an ordinary Silverado, the guys from Hennessey decided to add a second axle to the rear of the car, and then increased their ground clearance by a considerable 20.32 cm, in addition, they very much upgraded the entire pickup suspension. The standard 6.2-liter V8 was equipped with a 2.9-liter supercharger, which helped increase power to 705 hp. (914 Nm). The 6 × 6 Hennessey Goliath instance shown in this video has 800 hp.
Let’s be honest, no one needs such a car. Not only will it be too large for ordinary parking spaces, its owner will constantly worry about where to get tons of fuel for this “iron horse”.
