Hennessey Announces 1200hp Ram TRX 6×6 PickupSeptember 2, 2020
Tuning studio Hennessey has released an image of its new project – a six-wheeled version of the high-performance Ram TRX. The car, which will receive the designation Mammoth 6×6, will boast even more impressive off-road capabilities, as well as a 1200-horsepower engine.
More recently, tuning company Hennessey announced a heavily redesigned version of the already powerful full-size Ram 1500 TRX pickup. It is known that the Hennessey version of the truck will receive the designation Mammoth 6×6.
The Ram TRX already has 702 horsepower in its regular version. The atelier plans to raise this value to 1200 hp.
According to tuning company founder and CEO John Hennessy, the Mammoth 6×6 won’t have the standard 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 under the hood. Instead, the Texas tuner will install a 7.0L Hellephant V8 engine from Mopar. To achieve the massive 1,200 horsepower, the engine will receive a more efficient air-to-air system to deliver the promised 1,200 horsepower. As the representatives of the tuner separately noted, upon completion of all work on the Mammoth 6×6, the latter will become the most powerful truck that Hennessy has ever created.
In addition, the Hennessey team will refine the TRX’s off-road suspension While the truck is already a powerful SUV from the factory, we suspect the core of the changes will be to reduce overall weight. The Mammoth will also feature exterior modifications and special interior trim.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Ram TRX,” said founder and CEO John Hennessy. “Mammoth 6X6 with 1200 HP Hellephant engine. is a completely ridiculous idea, which is why we do it. We’re only going to build three examples of this crazy truck, which will probably make this truck the most exclusive and most expensive truck we’ve ever built.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Hennessey has published a teaser for the 1600-horsepower Venom F5 hypercar. The press service of the famous Texas tuner has presented a teaser for the Venom F5 hypercar. The presentation of the 1600-strong novelty will take place in November this year.
