Heavy pick-ups Ram new generation received ultra-luxury versionJanuary 24, 2019
Laramie Longhorn Edition is dedicated to the Southwest USA
The company Ram introduced the most luxurious version of a new generation of HD pickups – 2500 and 3500 – called Laramie Longhorn Edition. The company chose natural materials and warm shades for the decoration of the models, which should symbolize the southwest United States.
The trim of the Ram 2500 HD and 3500 HD Laramie Longhorn Edition saloon uses leather with a natural face and wood. According to the head of the brand, Raid Bigland, there are more parts from natural materials in the Ram than in any other pickup truck available on the market. Laramie Longhorn Edition uses the cult features and design elements of handmade products – antique pocket watches, leather cowboy boots or saddles.
Externally, Laramie Longhorn Edition pickups can be distinguished by a massive bumper and front framing with chrome trim. As an option, bumpers, lower body panels and overlays on the arches can be painted brown. Standard equipment models include 20-inch wheels. Leather trim chairs, dashboard, inserts in the doors.
The base engine for the HD line was the 6.4-liter petrol HEMI V8, which returns 416 horsepower and 582 Nm of torque. Also available for pickups diesel Cummins 6.7 I6, issuing 406 forces and 1356 Nm. The box is a six- or eight-speed automatic transmission.
Heavy-duty Ram HD pickups are capable of towing a trailer weighing up to 15.9 tons, and their maximum carrying capacity is 3484 kilograms.
