Hawtai is preparing to release an updated crossover LavilleOctober 10, 2018
The Chinese company has updated its cross Santa Fe 5, built on the basis of the Hyundai ix35 9 years ago. Just yesterday, spies posted on the network the first pictures of the exterior and interior of the car.
Created in 2010, the Hyundai ix35 at one time was very popular. So the Chinese decided, why not take it as a donor for our crossover? Thus, various elements of the suspension (including the rear multi-link), the chassis itself and, of course, the body parts were entirely borrowed. Interestingly, Hawtai did it legally, and this is not the only “copy” of the outdated Korean model that the Chinese manufacturer created.
Compared to its predecessor, the refreshed Laville will have completely different front and rear bumpers, a redesigned grille and modified headlights.
The crossover has not changed in size, so its length is still 4,620 mm, width – 1,820 mm, height – 1,525 mm, wheelbase – 2,640 mm. The ground clearance is 175 mm. In the engine compartment of the current Chinese SUV is located a 1.5-liter Mitsubishi turbo engine with a return of 145 horse power. It is equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. As often happens in Chinese cars – four-wheel drive is not provided.
A voice control will be installed in the car, and a modern multimedia system will receive a large vertical touchscreen display. Access to the markets is planned before the end of the year, prices, of course, have not yet been announced, they will be known closer to the start of sales.
