Haval called the SUV a “big dog”June 10, 2020
Haval said that the new SUV with round headlights got the name Da gou, which means “big dog”.
He was chosen based on the results of a vote held on the WeChat social network, then the designers added a trace of a dog’s paw to the background of the model’s name.
Cross with the factory index B06 was developed by the chief designer of the Chinese brand – Briton Phil Simmons, who previously came up with the appearance of the Range Rover Velar. The interior of Haval car, lit only on spy photos, is expected to appear leather-trimmed seats with complex stitching, volumetric ventilation deflectors and a pair of monitors of an unusual shape.
According to Autohome, Haval Da gou – the ideological successor of the H5 SUV, will be the first to acquire new architecture. It is still unclear whether the new model will have a frame structure or whether it will become a cross with a supporting body.
The novelty should debut this summer, and its sales in China will start in November this year. What name the model will receive in other car markets is currently unknown.
