Hatchback Toyota GR Yaris has successfully passed the “moose” testFebruary 7, 2021
Specialists of the Spanish agency km77 recently decided to bring the Toyota GR Yaris hatchback to the “elk” test.
It should be said that the journalists were pleasantly surprised by the result of the Japanese model. Initially the Spaniards tested the car at 77 km / h, in which case the GR Yaris failed, hitting several cones. But his best attempt was at a speed of 80 km / h, the car was able to overcome the path without hitting a single cone. Encouraged by this result, the journalists decided to try the Japanese car at a speed of 81 km / h, but this time the test was passed with one fallen cone.
Thus, the GR Yaris was able to leave behind several models of other well-known brands in its segment in the “leggings” test, which include the VW Golf 8 (the best result at 69 km / h), Mercedes-AMG A45 S (at 75 km / h) and BMW 1-Series (at 73 km / h). “Japanese” even surpassed the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, which passed the test at a speed of 78 km / h.
It is worth mentioning that the Toyota Yaris is a compact car that has a hatchback body. The production of this model started in 1999. The name Yaris is derived from Charis, the Harita, the ancient Greek goddesses of fun and joy. In the domestic market of Japan, the same car is called Vitz.
In addition, some time ago it was noted that an analogue of the Ford Raptor was built on the basis of the Toyota Hilux pickup. It should be emphasized that the development of such a car was carried out by specialists of the Icelandic tuning company Arctic Trucks.
