Perhaps the “charged” hatchback of the French brand is not as popular as its German rival Volkswagen Golf GTI, but he also has his fans and, of course, buyers. It’s unlikely that you will find drivers who do not want to improve their cars, and Clemens Motorsport specialists are ready to help the owners of the Peugeot 308 GTi. The firm, which specializes in revisions of models Peugeot, Citroen and DS, is ready to offer a power upgrade for the hatch.
Recall, stock Peugeot 308 GTi is equipped with a petrol engine PureTech volume of 1.6 liters, the return is 272 hp. and 330 Nm of torque. The engine, combined with a manual transmission, accelerates the car to the first “hundred” in 6 seconds and to a top speed of 250 km / h.
In the Clemens Motorsport portfolio, there are three levels of force for this model. With the first payback increases to 290 hp and 360 Nm of torque. For this purpose, the software of the engine-ECU is modified in the atelier.
At the second level, the power of the turbo engine increases to 303 hp, and the thrust to 380 Nm. For this purpose, a new intercooler, a high-performance air filter is installed and the cold air intake system is modernized.
The top third level increases the return to 310 hp. and 400 Nm due to the modernization of the air intake system, including a new air filter, and a 70 mm stainless steel exhaust system is also installed. In this configuration, the 308 GTi begins to show dynamics comparable to the Golf R – the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h is reduced to 4.6 seconds. However, unlike Golf, the hot-hatch Peugeot does not have a full drive.
To emphasize the “audacious” nature of the tuned version, Clemens Motortsport offers to equip the Peugeot 308 GTi with a set of 19-inch CC-Zero wheels with a multi-spoke design from Schmidt Revolution. By the way, 20-inch “rollers” are also available.
