Hatchback Kia Rio got a sports versionJanuary 24, 2018
The company Kia introduced the five-door hatch Rio GT-Line, intended for the European market. The public premiere of the novelty will be held in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
Externally from the standard hatch, the new version of Rio differs bumpers and the presence of fogs with the design of “ice cubes”. The exterior mirrors and the spoiler are painted black. Also, the Kia Rio GT-Line received adaptive headlights, 17-inch wheels, twin exhaust system pipes.
In the interior of the novelty – a truncated steering wheel, on the front panel there was an insert as carbon, on the central tunnel and doors there are decorative elements of dark gray color. The seats of the certified hatchback are covered with black artificial leather.
Also for the Rio GT-Line are: a multimedia system with a touch screen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated steering wheel, rear view camera, heated front seats, six airbags, collision avoidance systems (with pedestrian recognition) and exit warnings occupied lane.
The engines of the new version are the same as the usual European five-door hatches. First of all, the Kia Rio GT-Line will be offered with a three-cylinder petrol turbo engine 1.0 T-GDi with a power of 120 hp, which works in tandem with a six-speed manual. Hatch with this engine will go on sale in the spring of 2018. In the third quarter, Europeans will be able to purchase a model with “atmospherics” 1.25 and 1.4 and a seven-speed robotic transmission with a double clutch.
