Harley-Davidson has registered a new brand BareknuckleJuly 3, 2019
The company from Milwaukee continues to develop and expand its product range. Following the announcement of cooperation with China, there was news of a new trademark patented by the USPTO, reports the foreign publication RideApart.
This may be a bold hint of one of the previously promised models. At about the same time last year, Harley-Davidson stunned the industry with its plans. H-D knows perfectly well that he needs to update his image, so he plans to release a new lineup in the coming years, hoping to diversify his audience. The first newcomers are expected in 2020.
A trademark registered on June 19, 2019 gives the company rights to the name “Bareknuckle”. The large H-D plan includes the addition of a streetfighter with a 975 cm³ engine, and it can be assumed that a new name has been patented for it.
A typical streetfighter model is a high-performance motorcycle without a fairing, such as the Ducati Diavel or the Triumph Street Triple, for example. And Bareknuckle sounds quite appropriate for a naked one.
It is also expected that somewhere in 2020 Pan America 1250 / 1250cc Custom will become Harley champion in the popular Adventure segment. In addition, the company apparently aims to develop small models for the Asian market, as evidenced by the recently announced partnership with the Qianjiang Motorcycle. It seems now we are witnessing the embodiment of the ambitious plan of the legendary Harley-Davidson.
