Haima 8S Debuted at Auto Expo 2020February 6, 2020
At the opening of the Auto Expo 2020 motor show in Indian New Delhi, the mid-size Haima 8S crossover was presented, which in the near future can enter the Indian market.
The Haima 8S crossover, considered an inexpensive analogue of the popular Hyundai Santa Fe, is steadily expanding its sales geography. Now, the brand has presented an SUV to its customers in India. Externally, the Chinese crossover is similar to the Korean Hyundai Santa Fe of the current generation: a dimensional radiator grille of a similar shape and stylish two-level head optics.
In the Haima 8S salon, there was a place for advanced multimedia with a “soaring” touchscreen that is in no hurry to get out of fashion, a virtual dashboard, a sports steering wheel, an electronic gear selector, etc.
Based on the new SUV on the HMGA platform with independent rear suspension. Its length reaches 4,565 mm with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.
One of two available turbo engines sets in motion the cross: a 1.2-liter 148-horsepower and a 1.6-liter with a return of 194 hp. Both engines are combined with six-speed manual ransmission and a seven-speed “robot”. About all-wheel drive is not talking.
They equipped the crossover very richly: from contactless charging for gadgets to round-robin video cameras and useful driver’s assistants. When decorating, the manufacturer used leather with bright stitching. The interior is complemented by a panoramic sunroof with electric drive. In the home market for the most budgetary Haima 8S they ask from 85,900 yuan. This is 2.5 times cheaper than the price of the original Hyundai Santa Fe.
