Gunter Steiner: Need to add speedMarch 15, 2019
The best result of Haas in the second training session in Melbourne was the 10th place of Roman Grosjean, and Kevin Magnussen was 12th. The team positively assesses the work done, but they do not hide the fact that they need to work on speed before qualification.
Roman Grosjean (10th): “It’s great to get back to work. I like to fly on this track. Also in the paddock is a wonderful atmosphere. It seems that in the middle of the peloton a rather tight fight is just super!
Everything we tested on tests works well in Albert Park. Tomorrow the alignment of forces will become clearer, but I believe that we can be happy with how the first day went. ”
Kevin Magnussen (12th): “It’s not so bad. Great back behind the wheel during the race weekend – I am very happy about it. Feels like the car is all right, but there is still much to be done. The team will work hard in the evening, but we have not had any major problems, and we are pleased with the speed of the machine. I am waiting for tomorrow. ”
Gunter Steiner, Team Leader: “Good day. We have tested a lot and achieved what we wanted, although we need to add speed. I hope tonight the guys will do a good job, using the information gathered to prepare for the qualification. ”
