Great Wall introduced the P Series pickupAugust 29, 2019
The Chinese company is actually the country’s largest manufacturer of SUVs and pickups, and it has just introduced a new addition to its off-road lineup. Meet the P Series truck.
The company said that this will be the first truly global pickup in the world, which should go on sale in all markets where the Great Wall brand is represented, in order to change the “global geography of pickups” and “enter the top three models in the world with this type of body. ” Not only that, but the novelty should directly compete with Toyota, Ford and other international brands of pickups and reach 200 thousand annual sales by 2020.
The P series is equipped with a new platform called the P71, which should ensure that the model is safer, more convenient, more efficient, lighter and more customizable than its predecessors. Great Wall reports that customers will have access to more than 100 different truck settings with different types of transmission, body sizes, and more.
Under the hood of the novelty in the base is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an intelligent all-wheel drive system. There is no exact technical data on the engine, but we assume that Great Wall will sell a model with an updated version of its 2.0-liter turbodiesel, which produces 141 hp and torque of 2305 Nm.
Great Wall also proudly announces that the P Series will be equipped, as standard and as an option, with advanced safety features such as all-round cameras, lane departure warning system, intelligent voice control, adaptive cruise control and much more. The pickup also received the new Great Wall logo, as well as its own P Series logo, which symbolizes “power, technology and excellence”.
