In the best Chinese traditions, the car received the second name Mulan, in honor of the Chinese folk heroine.

One of China’s largest concerns, Great Wall Motors, has announced the pre-sales of its new electric crossover Ora Haomao GT, which also received the additional name Mulan, referring to the Chinese folk heroine. According to, prices should be announced this evening, but now we can expect a price in the region of 140 – 150 thousand yuan (1.6 – 1.7 million rubles).

At the heart of the novelty is the usual crossover Haomao, which is better known to the general public as the Good Cat. Now the management of the concern for the first time decided to expand the “cat” family at the expense of a sports model.

The exterior of the Mulan differs slightly from the original model due to the more aggressive and aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. In addition, a rear wing is installed on the trunk lid. Vehicle dimensions: 4,254 mm long, 1,848 mm wide and 1,596 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.

The sporty look is also emphasized by the red inlays on the body. However, the same accents are made in the interior, where a lot of red elements have appeared.

But the most interesting thing is hidden under the hood. Unlike most other Chinese manufacturers, Ora also worked hard on the filling to match the sporting spirit, not only externally. The only electric motor from United Automotive Electronics, located on the front axle, received a boost from 143 to 171 horsepower. Meanwhile, the torque has increased from 210 to 250 Nm. This allows the crossover to accelerate to 100 km / h in 6.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 160 kilometers per hour, against 150 for the usual Haomao.

Interestingly, despite the increase in power, the range not only did not fall, but even increased thanks to the use of a battery from Hive Energy Technology Co., Ltd, which has a capacity of 59.1 kWh. It allows the electric car to travel up to 480 kilometers, while on the regular version this figure is limited to 401 kilometers.
