GMC introduced the updated SUV Yukon / Yukon XL 2021January 15, 2020
The American automaker introduced an updated version of its full-size SUV GMC Yukon / Yukon XL. The new 2021 model year has received an aggressive appearance and off-road version AT4.
After the debut of the updated Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban in December last year, GMC today finally unveiled its version of a full-size frame SUV. And thanks to a more aggressive style, a host of best-in-class features and an off-road AT4 version, the new Yukon will be able to offer its customers more than ever.
In the exterior of the novelty, you can notice some similarities with the GMC Sierra pickup – C-shaped headlights, lower LED running lights and the widespread use of chrome. But unlike the truck, the Yukon has a smoother grille and new 12-spoke wheels.
There is no data on prices for the SUV GMC Yukon and Yukon XL 2021 model year, but it is known that it will go on sale this summer.
The interior of the updated SUV has changed significantly. Separately, it is worth noting the first in its class central pull-out console with an electric drive, a 15-inch head display, which displays the image from nine cameras, including a system of circular video review. Yukon / Yukon XL 2021 will offer a full range of active safety features.
At the start of sales, the updated GMC Yukon / XL will be available with a 6.2-liter V8, a 5.3-liter V8 and a brand new 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder turbodiesel. All three engines operate with a 10-speed automatic. As an additional option, four-wheel drive Active Response is available. Combining fourth-generation GMC magnetic motion control, a new limited-slip electronic differential, and independent multi-link rear suspension, Active Response offers a ride height adjustment of up to four inches with the ability to raise the suspension up to two inches.
For the first time in the history of GMC, Yukon has received the robust AT4 variant. The car receives an updated front panel, dark chrome accents throughout the body, and red towbars with the AT4 brand name. Yukon AT4 also gets exclusive 12-spoke wheels and 20-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires. In this version, the SUV boasts a four-stage adaptive air suspension, which offers an additional two inches of ground clearance. It is also worth noting the protective plates, a special mode of descent from the hill and improved angles of exit / entry.
