An image of a wheel of an electric truck / SUV GMC Hummer has appeared on the web. The presentation of the novelty will take place in the coming weeks, and the start of mass production is scheduled only for 2021.

The all-electric GMC Hummer is coming – we just don’t know exactly when exactly this will happen, but we do know that it will happen this fall. Recently, we have begun to learn more and more details about the new incarnation of the iconic car. A couple of minutes ago, our publication had a photograph at the disposal of the wheels of the future novelty, as well as part of the platform on which the electric Hummer will be built.

If we compare the most recent photo with those teaser images of the novelty that were published last month (only the silhouettes of an SUV and a Hummer pickup are shown), we can see that the design of the wheels is different.

These images of the allegedly the same car differ in the diameter of the rim, as well as the profile of the tires.

In addition, a recently released photo shows the entire platform of the upcoming Hummer EV – showing the electric motor as well as part of the battery. The latter was named Ultium, and according to representatives of the American concern GM, it can offer a long range and good energy efficiency.

For the uninitiated, the upcoming Hummer EV will come in two variants – a pickup truck and an SUV. It will be built alongside the new Cadillac Escalade at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant in Michigan, USA. The electric motor of the novelty will develop power up to 1000 horsepower, and the amount of torque will be 15 591.240 Nm.

We will definitely see the 2022 GMC Hummer EV in a few weeks or so, but the start of mass production of the iconic car will not begin until a year later – in the fall of 2021.

Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the GMC brand returned to the project of creating a subcompact SUV. Currently, the smallest crossover in the GMC lineup is the Terrain, which measures just over 4.6 meters in length. For the American market, this is a fairly compact model. Now the brand is going to offer customers an even smaller SUV.
