GMC announced the premiere of Sierra new generationFebruary 26, 2018
GMC, which is part of General Motors, has published the first image of a new generation of Sierra pickup trucks. The official premiere of the car will take place on March 1 in Detroit. Externally, the machine will differ from the predecessor with a new LED optics, another bumper and a modified grille.
Technical characteristics of the machine are kept secret. According to unofficial data, the engine range will include a 5.0-liter V8 engine and a 6.2-liter V8. Also, the publication Motor1 does not exclude the appearance of a new 3.0-liter diesel unit with a turbocharger. In addition, it is expected that the car will be easier for the previous generation Sierra.
The current generation of the pickup is equipped with a 4.3-liter V6 engine. The engine’s power is 285 horsepower. Also, the car can be purchased with a 5.3-liter V8 unit with a payback of 355 hp and 518 Nm of torque. The top modification of the pickup was the 6.2-liter V8 engine. Engine power is 420 horsepower.
The last GMC premiere was an experimental pickup truck on the crawler track called All Mountain. The concept car is designed for driving on heavy off-road and deep snow in the mountains. The novelty is based on the heavy pick-up GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali 4WD Crew Cab, where the standard wheels replaced the caterpillar mechanism of the company Mattracks. The prototype is equipped with a 6.6-liter turbo diesel V8 family Duramax, developing 450 hp and 1234 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.
