GM will bring to China a seven-seater SUV Chevrolet BlazerOctober 18, 2019
In America, this model is known in a five-seater version, now the brand is ready to offer its customers in China a three-row SUV.
General Motors has prepared for China a new modification of the Chevrolet Blazer SUV with a third row of seats. The first official photos of a seven-seater SUV can already be found in the base of the Chinese Ministry of Industry. Recall, the classic five-seater Blazer of a new generation can now be found in the US market. For China, engineers at the SAIC-GM joint venture “increased” the model length by 137 mm to 4,999 mm. Extra centimeters were able to add due to the rear overhang. Other Blazer parameters also went to the “plus”: the width increased by 5 mm (up to 1 953 mm), and the height – by 25 mm (up to 1 727 mm). The wheelbase has not changed and is still 2,863 mm.
The two-liter 230-horsepower turbo engine, combined with 9AKPP, sets in motion a novelty. The drive can be either front or full.
It is known that the “Chinese” Chevrolet Blazer will be available exclusively in the “sported” RS version with red accents on the body, decorative trim in gloss black and leather trim, where there is a contrasting stitching. The novelty will take the place of the flagship in the Chevrolet model line. Presenting the “grown up” Chevrolet Blazer promise next month at the motor show in Guangzhou, China. According to preliminary data, the cost of an SUV will be 239,900 yuan
