GM showcases the exterior of a modern Chevrolet ChevelleJune 5, 2021
This render from the GM designer came out back in 2014 and is a modern Chevrolet Chevelle.
While most modern consumers are drawn to SUVs and crossovers, there is something mesmerizing about the sleek 2-door coupes. This official photo of GM’s Chevrolet Chevelle coupe is particularly intriguing.
GM Design published a sketch of the design of the Chevrolet Chevelle on Instagram. Designed by GM’s lead exterior designer, Brian Malczewski. It was actually painted back in 2014 and was a modern Chevrolet Chevelle.
The car in this sketch looks nothing like the Chevelle you may be familiar with. However, it cannot be said that it does not have much appeal.
The front end of the concept closely resembles current Chevrolets such as the Camaro ZL1 and Blazer thanks to the shape of the radiator grille and narrow LED headlights. The modern Chevelle also has pronounced folds on the bonnet and front wheel arches to add aggression.
Elegant design elements continue on the sides with small windows and large wheels. The car also lacks traditional rear-view mirrors, because this is just a sketch and does not take into account the practical aspects.
If such a car went into production, it could be positioned as a softer and more luxurious alternative to the Camaro. 5 years after this sketch was first created, Chevrolet will continue showing the C8 generation Corvette.
