GM patented logo for GMC Hummer EVApril 11, 2020
General Motors new trademark for electric GMC Hummer unveiled.
In early 2020, GMC announced that the name Hummer would be returned in an “environmentally responsible manner”. And now we are one step closer to seeing a fully electric truck on the road, as information appeared on the Web that General Motors had actually registered a new trademark, according to the application for its logo for the upcoming GMC Hummer EV.
Patent application number 88784232 was filed April 2, 2020 in the category “Goods and Services” for “land vehicles, namely automobiles, trucks and sports vehicles; Bicycles. ” The fact of filing documents is not a surprise and most clearly makes it clear what the new Hummer logo will look like. It is worth noting that outdated, block designs with an accurate and modernized “logo” are a thing of the past. Now it looks future-oriented with a hint of the EV platform and features that have yet to be fully revealed.
GMC Hummer EV will be available as a pickup truck and SUV, which will move on the platform GM BT1 EV. It is expected that the revived truck will receive 800V fast charging with power up to 350 kW and an estimated range of 650 km. If everything goes according to plan, the GMC Hummer EV will make its official debut on May 20, and sales will begin in the fall of 2021. It will offer more than 1000 hp and a torque of 1,550 Nm, which will allow it to reach 100 km / h in 3.0 seconds.
