The American company General Motors and the Chinese concern SAIC-Wuling are preparing to launch an extended version of their best-seller, the Wuling Hongguang minivan, known in other regional markets as Chevrolet Enjoy.
Updated Wuling Hongguang received the prefix “Plus” in the name and a modified exterior. After restyling, the minivan became more aggressive, got a different line of glazing, a new radiator grille, modified bumpers and modernized head optics. In length, the new three-row minivan reaches a mark of 4,720 mm, and its width, height and wheelbase are 1,840, 1,810 and 2,800 mm, respectively. Under the hood, Hongguang Plus hides a one and a half liter 147-horsepower turbo engine, combined with a six-speed manual.
Prior to restyling, only “aspirated” were included in the engine range of the model: a 1.2-liter 82-horsepower and a half liter with a capacity of 105 horsepower.
In China, Wuling Hongguang bears the title of the most sought-after minivan. Since January of this year, over 190 thousand buyers have opted for this car. An extended version of the minivan will go on sale next month. According to preliminary data, prices will start at 59,800 yuan
