GM has decided on the sales date of the new Chevrolet CaptivaAugust 20, 2019
General Motors introduces the next generation Chevrolet Captiva crossover to the Thai market. Dealers will begin to offer customers a novelty on September 9th.
About a month ago, a new-generation Chevrolet Captiva crossover stood on the conveyor of the SGMW Motors plant in Indonesia, whose premiere was held this spring in Peru. The Chinese bestseller Baojun 530 acted as a “donor” for the second-generation Captiva. However, we see noticeable differences in the appearance of these two SUVs. So, Chevrolet Captiva receives the original radiator grille and company emblems, but the dimensions of the models are identical: length – 4 655 mm, width – 1 835 mm, height – 1 760 mm, wheelbase – 2 750 mm. It is known that Captiva can be purchased with both a seven-seater and a five-seater saloon.
But the interior design of the two cars is similar. You can distinguish them from each other only by a modified dashboard and the size of the multimedia touchscreen.
A new one and a half liter turbo engine with a capacity of 147 horsepower, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or variator, sets in motion a novelty from GM. Four-wheel drive to such a crossover is not supposed. But the list of available options immediately includes six airbags, optics on LEDs, 2-zone climate control, full-time parking sensors, branded 17-inch wheels and much more. The manufacturer equipped the top versions with a panoramic sunroof.
For the most affordable Chevrolet Captiva in the Thai market, you will have to pay 900 thousand baht. Until the end of 2019, the novelty will expand the geography of sales.
