Images of a new off-road monster from Glickenhaus have been posted online. The novelty, which will receive the designation SCG-008, boasts a mid-engine layout, as well as long suspension travel.

In the automotive world, the name Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus is largely associated with the company’s expertise in racing cars, sports cars and supercars. Few are aware, however, that the automaker also has significant experience in making some really cool SUVs – beating the Ford Bronco R at last year’s Baja 1000 rally race probably speaks for itself.

The founder and ideologist of the company, James Glickenhouse, wants to create a car that can win an unconditional victory in the off-road race.

James Glickenhouse used his personal Facebook page to post two early drawings of the new SCG-008 rally car, which looks like a buggy. Both images show the side of the machine, one when the suspension is completely bumpy and the other when the suspension is fully lowered. Basically, these two digital drawings show the travel of the suspension.

As far as we can tell from these images, the SUV has a mid-range layout with an engine in front of the rear axle and a transmission mounted on the top of the axle. A set of two spare wheels is located on top of the tubular structure.

We don’t know what drives this racing buggy, but obviously it’s not an electric propulsion system. Recall that last year’s Baja 1000 rally from Glickenhaus had a General Motors V8 with 650 horsepower.

Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Glickenhaus published a teaser for the 007 LMP supercar. The sports novelty will receive an 840 hp Twin-Turbo V6 engine. The supercar will be priced at $ 2.59 million. Tests of pre-production prototypes will be completed at the end of this summer.
