Giovinazzi: I have to prove that I am not inferior to the othersFebruary 15, 2019
Antonio Giovinazzi spent yesterday on the track of the Balocco, participating in a photo shoot for Alfa Romeo and talking to journalists. The Italian spoke about his goals and expectations …
Antonio Giovinazzi “I am proud that I will return Italy to Formula 1, but to get a place of an official racer is not a goal, but only the first step towards its achievement. There are only 20 Formula 1 drivers in the world, and I have to prove that I am not inferior to them in anything. We have a beautiful car, and the whole team is set to fight. I was motivated by the new status, so I was preparing for this season completely differently. Finally, this moment has come, and I look forward to the start of the tests.
Last year, the team has made great progress, and we hope to develop it this season. We want to start with what we stopped in 2018 and achieve more.
Kimi is an experienced racer, I can learn a lot from him. We are good partners with him and can achieve excellent results. I have no goal ahead of Kimi in the first race – rather, I have to learn from him.
I remain part of the family of Ferrari and I wish this team all the best, because she gave me this opportunity. I am curious how the car that they will present on Friday will look like. But starting with the tests in Barcelona, I will concentrate on working at Alfa Romeo – and I will do everything for my team. ”
