The right to choose the best car of the year was received by local profile journalists. They immediately listed 35 potential candidates for the title of leader.

In Germany, a professional jury of automotive journalists selected the best cars of the year. The Porsche Taycan topped this rating, which managed to get around the BMW 3 Series and the current Opel Corsa. These two models are content with “silver” and “bronze”. Mazda 3 and Peugeot 208 were also in the top five. In total, 35 models from different automobile segments were immediately included in the list of nominees for the title of the best German car. The lion’s share of them are cars with traditional engines, but the electric cars that are popular today are in the minority. The alignment turned out to be interesting, since it was the “green” car that got the lead in this rating.

In general, BMW and Mercedes-Benz were represented in this TOP by five models at once: 1-Series, 3-Series, 8-Series, Z4 and X7 fought for the first place from the Bavarian brand, and B-Klasse, CLA from Stuttgart , EQC, GLE and GLS.

From Audi, experts chose three models – the A1, Q3 and the e-tron electric crossover, while Opel, Porsche and Volkswagen were represented by one model. Opel has Corsa, Porsche has Taycan, and Volkswagen has T-Cross. VAG group fought for victory with Seat Tarraco, as well as two Skoda models – Scala and Kamiq. Among foreign cars, the Japanese Toyota brand prepared the most contenders for victory: German experts highlighted the RAV4 crossover, as well as the Corolla, Camry and Supra models.
