The German company Erwin Hymer Group is a leading manufacturer of mobile homes. Apparently, they also rely on unmanned vehicles, and presented the concept of a future project with a universal platform and a swap body.
Unmanned technology can expand the understanding of the term personal transport. The German company Erwin Hymer Group, specializing in the construction of motor homes, showed a hybrid of unmanned cars, motor homes and a miniature apartment. When there is no need for a steering wheel, the flight of imagination becomes wider. Judging by the presentation video, a similar “car” may appear already in 2030.
Hymer unveils the new Galileo as a modular vehicle. It is based on a flat universal platform, already capable of moving independently. It will be possible to install completely different bodies on it, from a dump truck to a mobile mobile store. Nevertheless, the Germans do not depart from specialization, and intend to use the platform to create individual modules of the residential area.
In addition, Hymer will try to implement a new business model for the motorhome segment. It is assumed that a person will be able to rent a platform and a favorite residential module for travel, business trip or vacation. Moreover, several problems are immediately solved – the trip will take place automatically, you do not need to look for housing, you do not need to buy personal transport.
