Genesis will introduce the concept of a new electric modelMarch 31, 2019
The official presentation of the premium South Korean electric car will be held at the Auto Show in New York (April 2019).
The South Korean brand Genesis, which belongs to Hyundai, officially announced that next month a new electric concept will be shown. Recall that the luxury brand has previously demonstrated Essentia – a fully electric conceptual coupe, which, it is claimed, will go into production as the most expensive model of Genesis. Thanks to its attractive appearance and stunning dynamic performance (acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.0 seconds), it has become one of the best participants of last year’s auto show in New York.
As part of his recent interview, Luke Donkervolk, head of the design department of the Hyundai Group, told reporters of a foreign publication that the Genesis electric show car will be shown at the 2019 New York Auto Show.
However, no further details were added to this statement, which is quite expected. Whether the show car is the same Essentia or not, we will surely know when April comes. Since the introduction of the impressive Essentia Coupe, a whole host of electric hypercars appeared and, if the guys from Genesis wanted to create something like Pininfarina Battista – an Italian hypercar, the upcoming New York auto show would be the best place for it.
While the Genesis electric show car is interesting in itself, Mr. Donkervolke added that the updated and production-ready executive Genesis G90 sedan will also be central to its booth in New York.
