Genesis rival BMW X5 reveals camouflage-free interiorNovember 10, 2019
The first crossover brand Genesis GV80 lost all its camouflage. Previously, the interior of the future novelty remained a “white spot”, but now there is practically no intrigue left with the light hand of photo spies.
Spy photos of the interior of the luxury Genesis GV80 crossover appear on the Web regularly, but there is always something stopping to look at the new product in detail: either the angle is unsuccessful, then camouflage completely closes the review. This time, Korean paparazzi managed to photograph the front panel of the SUV without a dense protective film. Pictures posted by the Korean forum BobaeDream. Their authenticity, by the way, is confirmed by past spy photos, where the emblem on the steering wheel was prudently sealed, and all important details were hidden under camouflage film.
Judging by the images that got into the Network, the novelty will receive a branded double-faced steering wheel with a metal cover in the spirit of the brand’s sedans. The crossover also relies on modern multimedia with an elongated screen and a thin line of ventilation deflectors, with which it was possible to visually divide the front panel.
The prototype with the photo is equipped with an analog dashboard, which, according to insider information, will be put on the car for the home market. Export crossovers will receive a virtual dashboard.
A special washer is responsible for the climate in the cabin, and all the temperature data will be broadcast on a special screen. The previous joystick of automatic gearbox gave way to a more modern washer. It is known that the Genesis GV80 will receive three engines: a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a return of 280-290 hp, a 380-horsepower gasoline supercharged engine of 3.5 liters and an in-line three-liter 280-horsepower diesel engine. All motors are combined with a new eight-speed “robot”.
Among the main rivals, the novelties are called the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE. The debut of the crossover is promised to be organized this year. Perhaps we will see the GV80 at the brand’s booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
