Genesis JW electric car surprised by its appearance on the renderSeptember 8, 2020
An electric prototype from the premium brand Genesis, still known as JW, has repeatedly found its way into the lenses of spy cameras. Now an interesting render of the future novelty has hit the Web.
We can only judge the appearance of the future electric car Genesis JW by spy shots and reports from some Korean media, who are sure that the design of the novelty will be borrowed from the conceptual Genesis Mint.
The Motorsjason portal shared its design vision for Genesis JW. The electric car, shown in the renderings, receives a “blank” grille, an almost panoramic line of glass (such a visual effect is created by the front struts to match), as well as large wheels, head optics with an original pattern and a large “nose”.
Add to this the oversized wheel arches and geometric embossings. The result is a very stylish and somewhat futuristic car.
In general, we know that the Genesis JW electric car, which will compete with premium electric SUVs, will be all-wheel drive. Its main rivals include Mercedes-Benz EQB, Tesla Model Y, Audi Q4 E-Tron, and others.
The novelty is based on a special platform for electrified cars E-GMP from the engineers of the Hyundai Motor Group. This “cart” supports the installation of high voltage batteries and motors, which provides an excellent range. In addition, electric cars with this architecture will be able to support fast charging. The same JW EV on an ultra-fast charging station can be recharged to 80% in just 20 minutes.
The Koreans are planning to launch the mass production of JW EV electric cars in June 2021. About 22 thousand of these machines will roll off the assembly line annually.
In the meantime, renders of the ugliest car in the world hit the Web. This is a pickup truck with distorted proportions, uncomfortable dimensions and frankly expressionless and strange appearance. It is as uncomfortable as possible to ride it.
