Genesis GV80 will receive two gasoline turbo enginesJanuary 29, 2020
After the premiere of new items in their native South Korea, Genesis presented its new luxury crossover in the United States. During the American debut, new details about the GV80 became known.
At home, the first crossover of the premium brand Genesis was presented with a new three-liter turbodiesel with a return of 278 hp. Over time, such a motor will get to other Hyundai models. For the Americans, the brand has prepared two gasoline engines. Recall, the Genesis GV80 may appear on sale this summer. The US SUV engine range will include a 2.5-liter turbo-four, delivering 300 horsepower, and a 3.5-liter V6 with 375 hp. Both engines boast combined fuel injection and belong to the Smartstream family.
The drive can be rear or full, and the developers gave the role of the transmission to 8-speed automatic transmission.
Otherwise, the American version of the crossover is like a car for South Korea. Americans will receive the Genesis GV80 with heating, ventilation, and remote control Smart Smart Park Assist. This feature is already available on the Hyundai Sonata 2020. Inside the car, experts expect to see 14.5-inch multimedia. The electronics of the novelty will be taught to recognize handwriting, and the advanced noise reduction technology will be responsible for the comfort in the cabin. It will not do without modern driver’s assistants and an air purification system. There is no information about the cost of new items.
