Genesis GV80 went to the final testsOctober 28, 2019
The first Genesis GV80 SUV passes final tests at the Nurburgring. It’s strange, because the presentation will take place in a month, and apparently they still have some problems.
Genesis, again brought its first GV80 SUV to the Nurburgring test. And, it seems, these tests are already final. True, questions arise, because the model’s debut should take place next month, and the SUV has not yet been fully fixed.
It is known that cars will be equipped with new engines. Under the hood will be a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with Smartstream technology. To it is added a 3.0-liter and a 3.5-liter turbocharged diesel six-cylinder power unit. The power of the last two engines varies from 278 to 380 horsepower. At the same time, the torque favors this with compression ignition.
We should expect the addition of different lines of power plants, for example, hybrid versions with a plug-in module and purely electrical modifications.
Recall that Genesis is a sub-brand of Hyundai Motor, specializing in the development of premium cars. The company appeared in the 2015th year and at the moment includes only three models – sedans G70, G80 and G90. However, in the near future, two crossover models are preparing for release – GV80, GV90.
