Genesis GV60 electric crossover to debut in 2021
November 25, 2020The electric crossover is still undisclosed by the company, but it is known to join the new Genesis GV70 and G70 in promoting the Korean premium brand.
Genesis is gearing up to launch three important new models next year, including its first electric vehicle, the Genesis GV60, as the Korean luxury brand expands its presence in Europe. A new generation of Genesis GV70 midsize SUV and an updated Genesis G70 midsize sedan have already been confirmed, while a new Genesis GV60 compact crossover will debut at a later date.
Parent company Hyundai registered the Korean model GV60 in overseas markets back in 2015, and during the international launch of the Genesis GV80 large SUV, Genesis global executive William Lee said the upcoming electric vehicle would be a “kind of crossover” based on the Hyundai Kona Electric.
National marketing manager for Genesis Motors Australia, Stuart Parnaby declined to discuss the first electric Genesis in an interview, admitting only that it was “all electric” and saying the brand is looking forward to the launch of three new models, confirmed next year.
