Genesis G80 sedans sent for repair due to engine problemsJuly 2, 2020
More recently, Hyundai Motor’s premium sub-brand has begun selling the new Genesis GV80 crossover and G80 sedan. The launch of new products was overshadowed by engine problems and annoying software bugs.
At Genesis, they announced a service promotion for brand new sedans with the G80 index. This model debuted at the end of March. In fact, this is the third generation of a luxury sedan (if you count the predecessor with the Hyundai badge).
Owners of cars that have been recalled have already begun to be notified about the need to deliver their cars for repair. About this writes the profile forum Genesis. All “problematic” sedans will be updated with software for free.
Recall, the first buyers of the new Genesis GV80 crossovers drew attention to a highly vibrating diesel. To this problem was added the distorted work of the virtual dashboard and the rear camera.
At the same time, the new G80 sedan also could not avoid software failures: an “erroneous” parking assistant and a faulty door lock. The automaker himself explains that most often, owners of sedans are faced with a fuel leak in the injection engines, a software failure and a parking assistant error.
The recall campaign includes 5,782 copies of the Genesis G80 that rolled off the assembly line this year: from March 6 to June 10.
