Genesis G80 electric sedan spotted in testsNovember 5, 2020
The introduction of the all-electric sedan will mark an important step in the history of the premium Korean brand.
Premium car manufacturer Genesis is testing the G80 electric sedan. The video from the test appeared on the Web on Thursday, November 5. Recall that the brand used to produce and sell only premium sedans, but now a lot has changed. In 2020, the first crossover appeared, and now it is obvious that the first electric car is on the way. The car was tested on the legendary German Nürburgring track.
The sedan is covered with a dense layer of camouflage, but it’s not hard to guess that this is an electric version. The cap on the radiator grille, as well as the absence of exhaust pipes, immediately catches the eye. There is no official data on the technical characteristics and even at least a small announcement of the premiere at the moment.
According to preliminary data, the car is positioned as a 2022 model, and its debut will take place in 2021. It is possible that a power plant from an electric Hyundai Kona will be used as motors.
In this case, the total output will reach 201 hp, and the range will be 420 kilometers.
The truth is, there is little doubt that Genesis will want to make the range more significant.
