Genesis crossovers will be sent for repair, as they confuse the transmissionFebruary 28, 2020
In South Korea, they announced the recall of Genesis Gv80 crosses, the sales of which started only recently. The revocation campaign is due to the fact that cars confuse transmissions and can drive back even in the “drive” mode.
According to AutoTribune, the recall was announced by the local Department of Transportation. There are problems with the software: on recallable cars, when switching from “drive” to reverse gear and after that again to “drive”, the car continues to drive back, despite the selector washer being in position “D” at that time.
On the web portal of the FM Korea radio station, they distributed a photo of the first accident that led to the malfunction. Judging by the location of the car, the cross stood in a congestion and instead of moving forward, began to drive back, damaging the car standing behind.
All crossovers that fall under the review will be sent to the dealer center, where they will be updated with the software.
In addition, Genesis recently won the “Most Trusted Premium Brand” nomination. It is noteworthy that this is the first year Genesis participated in this competition.
