Genesis brought to test the updated flagship sedan G90March 27, 2018
Restyling four-door sedan will receive a design in the style of the conceptual crossover Genesis GV80.
The photographs of the camouflaged sedan were made in Korea and published on the forum of the local edition of Bobaedream. It is assumed that the photo depicts a refreshed Genesis EQ900 – under that name in the home market they sell a model that in other countries is known as the G90.
Through the disguise, new narrow headlights and two-tier rear lights are visible. Apparently, EQ900 / G90 will receive optics in the style of last year’s conceptual crossover Genesis GV80. Plus, the four-door sedan has a new radiator grille with a cellular pattern instead of horizontal stripes.
At the moment there is no information on whether the saloon has somehow been modernized. Also, it is not known if there are any changes in the motor scale of the model. It is assumed that in Korea the novelty will be presented in the second half of this year.
Recall, EQ900 / G90 – this is the first of the Hyundai premium brand Genesis. The flagship sedan debuted in 2015, it is available in the home market with petrol engines V6 3.8 GDi (315 hp), V6 3.3 T-GDi (370 hp) and V8 5.0 GDi (425 hp). All engines are combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the drive is rear or full (HTRAC). The model also has a stretched version of L: the length of this modification is 5 495 mm, the wheelbase is 3,450 mm. At standard four-door sedan these indicators make 5 205 and 3 160 mm accordingly.
