General Motors will also soon release an electric pickupNovember 24, 2019
The head of the concern GM confirmed that the corresponding model will appear in 2021
The American concern General Motors is not going to stay away from fashion and also plans to release a pickup truck with an electric power plant.
According to Reuters, at a conference of investors in New York, GM head Mary Barra announced that the concern was going to present an electric pickup of its own design under the Chevrolet brand in the fall of 2021. She promised that the car will have impressive characteristics, which she personally is very pleased. When developing a new product, the concern promises to take into account the tastes of both long-time pickup fans and those who are looking at this segment for the first time and are waiting for interesting offers.
It is worth noting that in the fall of 2021 Ford plans to show the same pickup – this will be the electric version of the F-150 model. In relation to the Chevrolet, we can expect that one of the current models is also equipped with an electric power plant: Silverado or Colorado. Most likely, the timeline for entering the Chevrolet electric pickup market will be prolonged, as the company simply does not have sufficient experience in developing electric vehicles – the Bolt hatchback is still the only such model in the brand’s portfolio.
