General Motors showed a compact crossover Baojun RS-3September 26, 2019
A new product from GM and SAIC appeared on the conveyor last week, but Baojun RS-3 will appear on sale in the Middle Kingdom car market only next month.
GM and the Chinese concern SAIC presented the new compact crossover Baojun RS-3, the release of which has already started. Such an SUV receives a dimensional radiator grill, as well as a two-tier head optics with an original design. But the back of the car resembles the stern of a Baojun RM-5 crossover. The new product was borrowed from the bestseller of the brand in China – the compact cross-country Baojun 510. The dimensions of the RS-3 are as follows: length – 4,300 mm, width – 1,750 mm, height – 1,625 mm, wheelbase – 2,550 mm.
The Baojun RS-3 engine range includes a one and a half liter 105-horsepower aspirated engine and a 131-horsepower turbo engine with a working volume of 1.2 liters. The transmission may be 5MKPP or CVT variator. The drive does not imply a choice – only the front.
First buyers will receive new crossovers in October. Prices for the new product have not yet been disclosed. According to the forecasts of local experts, the Baojun RS-3 will be slightly more expensive than the Baojun 510, for which it will be necessary to pay from 59.8 thousand yuan in Chinese motor shows
Recall, previously, Toyota introduced the off-road version of the Corolla TREK for cyclists. The cross-wagon acquired an increased ground clearance, a modified suspension, as well as additional body protection and a changed appearance.
