Geely is going to build a plant that will manufacture Terrafugia flying cars. According to the press service of the brand, the construction will unfold in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hubei Province. Work on the construction of a new enterprise is promised to begin at the end of October 2019. And the completion of construction should take place 12 months after its start. In the meantime, the company is busy looking for contractors for construction.
It is known that the total building area will be about 182 504 square meters. It will house assembly shops and a platform for testing flying cars. The assembly of the first Terrafugia is scheduled for the end of 2020. The date of the appearance of new items on the market, as well as price lists for it in Geely are in no hurry to disclose. The company plans to expand the geography of sales with the help of foreign markets.
Recall, Geely acquired Terrafugia in 2017. This company was one of the most famous developers of vehicles called “flying cars”.
