The best cars of the year were named at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The grand prize of 2021 China Car of the Year went to Geely and its new sedan Geely Xingrui, also known as the Preface.

The China Car of the Year award is considered the most authoritative and independent in the PRC. The three main components of the competition are a qualified jury, a well-thought-out and large-scale selection algorithm, as well as an extensive database from Prime Research. This time, 41 automotive media representatives initially chose among all the cars that entered the Chinese market between October 1, 2019 and September 25, 2020. As a result, after a series of real tests and three rounds of voting, the best cars were determined in five nominations.

The Chinese Car of the Year 2021 award went to the Geely Xingrui sedan (179 points) built on the CMA platform.
