Recall, SX11 was the first model of the Chinese brand, built on a new platform BMA (B-segment Modular Architecture). As previously stated in Geely, the platform was developed by the company’s own forces. However, some elements are certainly borrowed from the “senior” platform CMA (Compact Modular Architecture, it is based XC40), created by the Chinese together with Volvo.
Dimensions of the crossover: length – 4 330 mm, width – 1 800 mm, height – 1 609 mm, wheelbase – 2 600 mm. Thus, the Geely SX11 was smaller than the Volvo XC40 (4 425/1 863/1 652 mm, the distance between the axles was 2,702 mm).
Later, the platform BMA will form the basis of other crossovers, as well as sedans, hatchbacks and compacts Gilly. It is also expected that the new architecture will be used by other brands belonging to the Chinese company, Volvo and the Malaysian Proton.
