Geely began delivering car keys with dronesMarch 24, 2020
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the brand had to adopt new delivery methods in order to minimize contacts between the buyer and the seller.
In February, due to an outbreak of coronavirus, Geely launched a special online service for the sale of its machines on the home market. This was done in order to minimize contact between people. Acquired auto brand delivered directly to the home or office of the buyer. However, one more question remained unresolved: how to transfer keys and documents to the car to the client? Drones came to the aid of the automaker. They will deliver the keys directly to the buyer’s door or to his balcony.
The car itself brings a tow truck to the client’s house – the care of this falls on the shoulders of local dealers who take orders. Before this, each car undergoes a mandatory disinfection. In this case, the air in the cabin is ionized using a special device.
The new service from Geely is popular among the inhabitants of the Middle Kingdom. Since the launch of the online platform, about 10 thousand customers have made a purchase here. Over 110 thousand people have passed the registration procedure in order to purchase a car in the near future, according to Automotive World statistics.
